I am hit by a pang of nostalgia as I recall all those years of writing in this blog.
2007 till 2026. Such long years. 19 years! Such a bittersweet feeling!
But somehow, I skipped 2021 (not a good year).
And I inadvertently skipped 2025 (a good year! But I forgot to update it here).
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I am active on Instagram @sarahkushairi. But again, I'll try to make it a habit to update this blog at least once a year, LOL.
So, what happened in 2025?
Highlights of 2025
1. I left KKM and got a job as a pharmacy lecturer in an IPTA. I also have a nice, spacious room of my own!
2. I got my debut novel published by Penguin Random House SEA. The title is Jannah is ^NOT Average.
2. I attended Ubud Writers Festival in Bali for my book launch there!
3. I signed another book contract with Karangkraf.
4. I appeared on 'The Malaysian Reserve'.
5. I got a poem published on 'Eksentrika'. I guess I could call myself a poet now?
6. I played the keyboard in a public performance, and I made the arrangements myself.
7. I recited a poem in public, and also for the Gaza Solidarity programme.
8. I volunteered as a tutor with Teach For Malaysia for 10 weeks.
9. I took violin lessons
And many more!
So that's all. I will update this blog again in 2027, insya Allah.
