Not-So-Wordless Thursday

My brother, Haziq in front of my dad's childhood home in Bukit Gantang, Perak,  built in the 1940's.
As you can see, it is now old and dilapidated.

"Couple seats ke seat biasa?"

Assalamualaikum and hello all. :)

I've watched HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2!!! (baca sekali nafas)

Eeeww Voldemort and Nagini. >.<

It was okay. I tried to cry but I couldn't because you see...I NEEDED TO GO TO THE TOILET!
I couldn't hold my bladder anymore thus I went out and missed the part where Voldemort killed Harry and Harry met Dumbledore and there was that bloody foetus of Voldemort.

Upon returning from the toilet, then only could I concentrate on the remaining scenes of the movie.
The scene where Snape got killed by Nagini was quite quite gruesome.

And then...NINETEEN YEARS LATER

The scene of King's Cross Station. Then the melancholy music they played on the first movie was played in this scene!
Then I saw Harry and his kids. AND I CRIEDD!!!

Because you know, you got immediately flashed back to the first movie, where Harry was all alone going to Hogwarts. Harry's kids are so lucky to have their parents alive.
But I laughed a bit when I saw 36 years old Malfoy. He looks ridiculous!

Okay, the end. Harry Potter is over.

One funny thing that happened when we first bought the tickets.

I went to the counter and the woman saw my brother, Syafiq.
I asked her "Harry Potter 1.00 p.m?"
She asked back "Nak couple seats ke seat biasa?"

"APA?"

She repeated her question.

And I laughed to the extent of maybe accidentally revealing the empty sockets of my first premolars. HAHA

"Bukan! Dia adik saya lah! Seat biasa,"

Maybe she didn't mean it that way. Maybe she thought I'd want to have the couple seats, seeing that there were only two of us there.

Adoiii. No. This is not the first time people had mistaken my younger brother as my boyfriend.

A bloody(literally) experience!

Assalamualaikum and hello all. :)

I can't write much as I don't really have the mood.

1. I have just undergone a minor (and unexpected) surgery!

2. It's nothing big. considering that the dentist had to slice your gum to pull out the root of your tooth. Oh, not just one place. TWO PLACES! Right and left. Then the dentist had to stitch your gums back together. Eekkk

3. I'm bleeding profusely which is bothersome.

4. I keep on drooling as I can't control the secretion of my saliva which is really TROUBLESOME!

5. My mouth and some parts of my cheeks are still numb and I feel like an idiot(see number 4) and when I touched my lips, it feels rubbery which is way WEIRD!

6. The pain started to kick in for about 15 minutes after the surgery was over.

7. I received like, SEVEN anaesthetic injections throughout the whole procedure.

8. My two upper first premolars are gone. Goodbye, perfect set of teeth! *sob*

9. I'm thirsty! But I don't want to swallow the blood when I'm drinking the water! Arghh!

10. This is my first ever surgery (that requires slicing and stitching) and I feel cool about it. LOL.

The Periodic Table of Storytelling

Assalamualaikum and hello all. :)

Sorry can't make it any bigger. Well, you can just click on it.
This is an awesome invention invented by those inventors (LOL).

There are several examples shown below the periodic table. Star Wars, Kim Possible, Dilbert, etc.

How to use it:

Pick several elements from the Periodic table and string them together!

This is how I interpret Kim Possible.

The basic plot of Kim Possible using the Periodic Table

Ag is bonded to Kz
Ag stands for Action Girl which is Kim. and Kz stands for Klutz which is Ron.
They are doubly bonded. Chemically speaking (LOL), double bond is stronger than single bond because double bond consists of pi bond and sigma bond. Sigma bond is stronger  than Pi bond(Kim) and Pi  bond is weaker than Sigma bond (Ron) but Sigma adds strength to Pi bond (it means sometimes Kim really needs Ron by her side. Well, you know la).

Ag and Kz are bonded together to Fg, which stands for 'Fighting Crime'.

In conclusion: Action Girl (Kim Possible) and The Klutz (Ron Stoppable) fight crime together. I wonder where's Rufus the Naked Mole Rat? >___>

This periodic table is not comprehensive but in a way, it gives you idea on how to start a story. And don't bother about all those chemical structures and bonds.  Make your OWN chemical structures.

The End. May you have a pleasant day. :)

Cheapo

Assalamualaikum and hello all. :)

The recent trip (well, about 2 weeks ago) to Chowrasta and look what I've bought. (Chowrasta is awesome as usual).

ELEVEN Sweet Valley Books for a total price of RM28!

Yes, only RM28!
I usually buy a brand new novel from MPH Bookstores for the price of RM33++

But this, ELEVEN books? But still, the total price is considered expensive as those are 2nd hand books and some of them are not in mint conditions (whaddaya expect? LOL) Next time gonna bargain more! Say, RM20! The skill of bargaining is highly essential, even in buying books! Muahahaha.

At first the bookseller put a price of RM25 for 8 books (mahal giler kan?)
Then I flirted with him a bit and got them for RM20 (still expensive, right??)

Next time must flirt more! LOL. And I've made my own 'negotiating-for-the-least-possible-price-of-books' points. Things that should be considered
-Condition of books
-Year of publication
-and others (think up the points yourself! :P)

Then off you go to present your points on why you should get 10 books for RM 10 instead of RM20 (never tried that, but going to ) to the bookseller. You should present your points in a persuasive yet non aggressive manner. It's a bonus if you know how to act. And if you're a naturally annoying and irritating person, you could always try to annoy the bookseller to the core by continuously pestering him until he finally relents on selling the books for your named price.

I finished reading all eleven books in 10 days. Well, not exactly a book a day. It depends on my mood. I once read 3 Sweet Valley books in just one day. I was bored.

For now, the total number of books (most of them fictions) that I've read from April 2011 till now (as of yesterday) is 24, if I'm not mistaken (the number includes the 11 Sweet Valley books).

Now I'm halfway reading Betsy Carter's 'Orange Blossom Special'. Gonna finish it today. I intend to finish another 4 books before August, which is before Ramadhan so that I could make a new list of books to be read during Ramadhan.

Why fictions? You see, sometimes you could learn a greater deal about life by reading fictions (because they tell you stories that relate to you) as compared to reading non-fictions. But then again, I have my dose of non-fictions too. I don't always read fictions. And no, I do not read stupid political blogs.

And yes, why Sweet Valley? I first read Sweet Valley when I was 10 and it is quite delightful to reread stuffs that you read when you were young. ( I still read Doraemon comics xD) Besides, Sweet Valley books are no longer published and are now unavailable in major bookstores like MPH. So, they are rare and precious in a way.

Have a pleasant day, everyone!

Turn Left, Turn Right

I first watched this in 2006. I was sixteen. It was aired on TV3 for the Valentine’s Day Special Slot.

I got hooked to the story, my eyes glued to the TV screen.

I watched it again.

And watched it again.

My brother downloaded the movie and I watched it again. And again and again.

I’ve watched this movie for a total of FIVE to SIX times. I’ve lost count so I could not remember the exact number.

Though Takeshi Kaneshiro and Gigi Leung only spent about less than 10 minutes in this movie, I could perceive their feelings (‘their’ as in the main characters, not the actors) for each other, the agony, and the emotional pain when they are separated from each other.

I have always been a romantic person in the inside. I believe in fairy tales and cheesy love stories, no matter how people said they do not exist. It is ridiculous, I know. :P

Well, we women are like that. HAHA

To end this note, you girls (and guys) should watch this!

Ok bye and assalamualaikum. J

P.S: I've learned how to write shorter blog posts. xD

Queen Sized

Have you ever woken up in the morning,
Looked at yourself in the mirror and found yourself saying

'I'm FAT!!!!!'

Yeah, seriously.

Also, the time when you're wearing your tudung, and you're trying your best to pull the sides of the tudung to the front in a hopeless attempt to conceal the puffiness and the chubbiness of your cheeks and urmm...the chin that seems to urmm...double in size? And ended up muttering

'I'm FAT!!!!'
What's more, when you weighed yourself on the weighing balance and found that your weight has increased DRAMATICALLY for the past few months! And you went on complaining

'I'm FAT!!!!'

 Drama Queen indeed. *rolled eyes*

EDIT: On 2nd thought, chubby cheeks are tolerable as they signify youthfulness.HAHAHA But double chin? So not cool. =__=
