'Do you think I've gone round the bend?' (asked Alice to Mad Hatter)
'I'm afraid so. You're mad, bonkers, completely off your head. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.'

1/4/11 Microbiology and Biochemistry OSPE (Drama di Makmal)
2/4/11 Islam: Knowledge and Civilization
6/4/11 Pharmaceutical Analysis Essay
7/4/11 Biochemistry Essay
8//4/11 Organic Chemistry (THE SCARIEST ONE, LOL)
13/4/11 Microbiology Essay

Yahoo! I survived 2 long weeks of exams and essays! So far, I think I've been doing my best. No immense regret like what I had experienced in the previous semester (answering Physical Pharmacy). Alhamdulillah I haven't experienced any great amount of tension and stress throughout the exam period. Let's wait for the results, of which I pray and hope will be higher than my previous results (and within the JPA range, of course). Amin. :D

Oh yes,  we went to East Coast Mall after we finished our so-called much anticipated Organic Chemistry exam.We (Yours truly, Syau, Aida, Zimah, Nisah). Syau, Aida and I watched HOP (a semi-animated movie) kind of like Mary Poppins and stuffs, only in 3D (you know what I mean). Not bad. But I wanted to watch 'Source Code' as well!

And aha, the three of us (Syau, Aida, Sarah) enjoyed our own versions of shopping spree.

Aida bought:
12 complete books of 'The Darren Shan Saga'. Total amount = RM 340+

YEAH, AWESOME RIGHT?
Aida: Daripada aku beli satu, baik beli semua terus.

Yes, she's right! What's the point of just buying one book at a time when you're gonna have to buy the rest of them later on? :P

I bought
1. Kampung Boy: Yesterday and Today
2. For the Love of a Son by Jean Sasson
3. The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan
4. The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
5. Charlie St. Cloud by Ben Sherwood

Finished Kampung Boy, For the Love of a Son and Charlie St. Cloud. Halfway through reading 'The Kitchen God's Wife'. Gonna finish it today! :)

Syau bought
1.If you could see me now by Cecelia Ahern (my favourite book and author!)
2. Clothes, shoes and handbag :)

Eh wait, the final exam is not over yet. In two days time, we'll be having a MARATHON!
Yeah, MARATHON!

16/4/11
MCQ
Biochemistry : 15 Qs x 5 = 75Q
Microbs: 15 Qs x 5 = 75Q
Pharmaceutical Analysis : 10 Qs x 5 = 50Q
Pharmacology = 15 Qs x 5 =  75Q

Total: 275 freaking MCQ TRUE FALSE MINUS MARKING QUESTIONS!!!

Terer tak kita orang? Yes, memang hebat kalau boleh jawab semua!

But before that, I wanna have a bit of rest (as if).

I wish everyone ALL THE BEST! and let's struggle up till the end. And all the best to my friends, roommates from Medicine and Dentistry for their End of Block Exam and Professional Exam. :D

Till then, Adieu!

When I am BORED....

Well hello world!
Ahem, assalamualaikum!

Now it's 12.58 a.m. Still early huh? What am I doing?

Just finished (actually, forcing myself to finish) the whole syllabus of Pharmaceutical Analysis. DONE!
Now, going to finish the whole Organic Chemistry (Reactions of Aldehydes+Ketones, Alcohols, Amines to go).

I'm boreddd...I'm boredddd...
When I am boreddd...and oh my soul so weary~!!!

Okay fine. I could get a little more cranky than usual when it's like, oh, 1 a.m in the morning now! My crankiness and 'looniness' could be attributed to the urghhh..the amount of equations, calculations, facts and mechanisms that I forced myself to digest to..... Which results in indigestion.
Oh no, I feel the need to regurgitate them all back! No Sarah, not now! Do it during the exams! *my face is green due to overwhelming desire to puke*

Most of us are undergoing the 'Stressed and tensed phase'.

What I do to reduce the overloaded amount of stress.
1. I read blogs. And I found some really GREAT book blogs! Yeah! I'm pretty excited to find someone/many people who shared the same interests in books just like I do! :D And I'm thinking of starting my own book blog. Make book reviews, participate in book giveaways contests, reviews on bookstores. Places to get cheap books. Libraries! Ahhhhh....can't wait!
And now, my desire to read books (read: FICTIONS) are overwhelming! I need to read books!

2. Read fictions. I finished reading Madeleine Wickham's 'Sleeping Arrangements' in less than 2 hours! HOHO. It's an ebook, BTW, of which I've downloaded during my spare time at home, where internet is AWESOME! So I'm going to read Audrey Niffenegger's 'The Time Traveler's Wife' next.

3. Listening to songs. I had continuously replaying Bee Gees' 'Too Much Heaven', 'First of May', 'How Deep is Your Love', 'I Started a Joke' on my laptop and other songs (instrumentals such as 'Beethoven's Symphony no.7, Studio Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle and bla-bla' on my MP3. It relaxed my mind, calming me a bit.Now listening to Andy Williams' 'Can't Help Falling in Love With You'.

4. Sleep. Examination week is THE week where you should get enough sleep okay.

5. Thinking about future outing! Yes, gonna go out again! And I'm going to buy Lat's Comics and more books!!!

Okay bye. I need to get back to Organic Chemistry. All the best to everyone! :D

P.S. Tiba-tiba teringat yang next semester dah 2nd year. Lepas tu ada junior 1st year. WHOAAA..

Bad Tudung Day

Assalamualaikum and hello to all :)

I experienced bad tudung day yesterday. It all started when I began wearing the newly-ironed tudung.

'Ish, tudung tak betul! ARGHHH!!!!' and off I ironed it again for the second time.

'What's wrong with you, tudung? Why can't you stay stilll?????' I scolded the tudung and myself for caring too much about the appearance of the tudung.

I ironed it for the third time. This time, I really ironed it vigorously, using my whole energy,as if I was scrubbing my dirty clothes using the laundry brush.

'Echinococcus! Taxoplasma Gondii!!!' I cursed under my breath.

For the third time. Hmm, oklah. Not bad. Who cares, anyway?

And along the way walking to kulliyyah of Pharmacy with Syau, I saw Munie clutching her labcoat.

'ARGGHHH!!! SYAUU!!!!' I shrieked dramatically, and shook Syau's whole body by the shoulders.

'HAH? APASAL? APASAL??' Syau was really shocked as well.

'I TERTINGGAL LAB COATTTTT!!!!'

'Oh, ceh!' dramatik betul budak ni.

And I went back, running up several flight of stairs, entered my room, panting. Gah!

Okay, we have arrived at the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy. Entered the lab, along with my other classmates.

And suddenly 'Sarah bawak lab report tak???'

"Alamak! Tak bawak! Dah print tapi tertinggal kat bilik!'

GREAT.

Then the 'drama' started.

Okay, drama finished. Tau sendiri la drama apa yg berlaku kat makmal.

OSPE habis. Biochem best. Microbs? Oh, tak kisahlahhh..

Went back to room, took a bus to KOP and submitted the report.
And at night.

'AICHOOO!!! AICHOOO!!!!'

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the highlight of the 'Bad Tudung Day'.

I had a common cold last night and I can't really recall the actual event that leads me being in that miserable condition. I do remember eating Nasi Ayam before but seriously? AYAM? Sebelum ni tak pernah allergic ayam pun. Hoho. So like maybe, the histamine is released from the mast cells and basophils. Urghh..

Okayla, so the common symptoms of allergy/cold that I experienced are as follows:
1. Sneezing, due to histamine-associated sensory neural stimulation.
2. Runny nose, due to increased vascular permeability and hypersecretion of glandular tissues.
3. Nasal engogement (blocked nose) due to increased capillary permeability and vasodilatation.

And as I went on sneezing non-stop with runny nose and really blocked nose (I really can't breathe through nose!) and Syau commented that she heard me sneezing non stop when she was at the bathroom,  (boohoo!) and guess what I did?

I took my Pharmacology notes and memorized (and understand, of course), the facts I stated above. HAHA.

I decided to sleep for sleep is the BEST medicine! But I couldn't sleep! Arghh! Because I kept on sneezing every one minute! Then I went to Mazlina's room and asked her

'Maz, anti-pyretics ada?' nonchalantly.
'Kau demam ke?'
'Aku rasa allergic reaction. Tak kisah la, anti-pyretics ke, anti-histamine ke, Zyrtec ke, acetaminophen ke,'

' Maz went on 'hunting' the Panadol.

And she gave me Panadol tablets and Panadol soluble.

'Bismillahirrahmanirrahim!' I swallowed one tablet of 500 mg Paracetamol (Panadol tablet).

Okay, now, Panadol Soluble pulak!

I tear down the 'packet' and plopped it into the mug filled with plain water.
And as a good pharmacist-to-be, I read the instructions and the description of the Panadol Soluble packet.

'Each tablet contains 500mg ACETAMINOPHEN'

WHATTTT???? Selama hampir 21 tahun hidup kat dunia ni tak tau pun Panadol Soluble tu ACETAMINOPHEN. Selama ni ingatkan semua PANADOL tu PARACETAMOL je! And the most idiotic thing is that I just know that ACETAMINOPHEN and PARACETAMOL are the same thing. The only difference lies in the name! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! (okay, tak kelakar -___-)

Takpe, better late than never (walaupun ketawa dan diketawakan atas kebodohan sendiri >__<)

Acetaminophen has anti-pyretic and analgesics property. However, it does not possess anti-inflammatory property.

Okay,BAD TUDUNG DAY, OVER!

P.S. Perasan tak 2 entri yang berlainan kat sini? :P

Drama di makmal

Mula mula tulis post ni dalam English lepas tu tukar ke Bahasa Melayu sebab takut orang 'tu' baca. Dia tak faham Bahasa Melayu, haha. xD

Sebelum peperiksaan.

'Semua orang, cepat semak angka giliran!' arah pembantu makmal wanita itu.

Semua orang dalam makmal tu bising je. Ada yang tak dengar pun apa yang pembantu makmal tu cakap. HOHO.

Kumpulan pertama dah masuk makmal.

Gunung berapi pun meletus.

'SESIAPA LAGI DARI KUMPULAN PERTAMA?? SESIAPA YANG TAK ADA DI SINI SAYA AKAN KIRA KAMU TAK HADIR! TAK HADIR!!!!'

Para pelajar: (senyap kerana ketakutan)

Pensyarah pun berjalan dari meja ke meja dan kemudian menjerit lagi

'JANGAN DUDUK SITU! SAYA DAH BAGITAHU JANGAN DUDUK SITU!!!!!'

Budak-budak lelaki pun cepat-cepat lari ke depan macam lipas kudung.

Klimaks drama ini.

' X!!!' beliau menjerit nama pembantu makmal itu.

' APA YANG DAH BERLAKU? SAYA DAH BAGITAHU AWAK BLA BLA BLA!' beliau menjerit dengan suara yang sangat kuat.

Para pelajar: (masih senyap, menyaksikan drama yang bakal berlaku)

Pembantu makmal pun dah geram jugak. Selama ni dia sabar aje. Lepas tu dia pun cakap dengan suara yang sangat kuat jugak (memangla, mestilah kita geram kalau orang jerit kat kita!)

'DOKTOR! SAYA DAH BAGITAHU MEREKA SEMUA BLA BLA BLA!'

Pensyarah tu pun lagi naik angin bila pembantu makmal tu cakap balik dengan suara yang kuat. Maka beliau pun cakap sesuatu yang mengejutkan.

' AWAK SIAPA?? SAYA PENSYARAH! (dan awak cuma pembantu makmal)'

Pembantu makmal perempuan tu pun senyap.

HUH!

Allah letak kita tempat lain-lain. Peranan masing-masing.

Jangan pandang rendah kat makcik cleaner. Kalau dia takde, kita sendiri yang kena cuci toilet yang kotor tu. hoho.
Jangan pandang rendah kat nelayan. Kalau dia takde, macam mana kita nak makan ikan? >__<
And so on....

Okay,assalamualaikum!
