The Diary of a Wimpy Kid

My brother Danial bought this book yesterday, after much persuasion from me, LOL.
I've read the positive reviews about this book in the newspaper and I would like to have a copy of it, without spending my OWN money, hahaha.
So, Danial bought the book. I guess he had finished reading it, as he didn't bring it to his hostel. Better don't. :P
The book's reserved for kids between the age of 7 till 13. But Syafiq and I, who are both 17 and 19 had finished reading it in one go and we thought that the storyline is remarkable, splendid!
I love the fonts and the illustrations, and also the occassional purposedly done spelling errors. LOL.And me loving the simple sentences. :)
I mean, let's be realistic. The writer/illustrator's being realistic. How could an 11 year old boy uses bombastic words such as lackadaisical, profundal, whateverrr... with perfect, polished, well constructed, immaculate sentences? This is the bonus to the writer himself. I mean, he is not an ENGLISH teacher, am I right? ;)
I hope you get what I meant. XD

Well, the first book is nowhere to be found there (probably out of stock) so, he bought the 2nd book. Which is OK coz it doesn't have that much elements of continuation from the previous book. =)
So, I want to read...

This is the first book,

The third book,

Interesting, no?

Oh yeah, they even have this. But I'll pass, thank you very much. =)

The fourth book has been published. And the fifth book will be published next year, if I'm not mistaken.
This is a really great book. Sure, I'm approaching adulthood now but seriously, one shouldn't limit one's reading choices. Be open. Don't become a fussy reader who chooses certain genres only. It annoys me when someone said 'I never read Malay novels' or even ' I don't like Malay novels'.
Sure, Malay novels (Malay LOVE novels especially) are superficial, stereotyped, overrated novels. The same goes with the dramas and movies *roll eyes*.
But really, some of the novels are nice to be read. And not ALL of them have streotyped storylines. There are some good novels too. Sure, maybe you read one Malay novel, ending up getting nausea and sick, thus banish ALL Malay novels away from you FOREVER. Now, now, that's not reasonable.
I think some of the Little Black Dress' books and some chick-lits have stereotyped storylines too.Jem jangan marah :P
You be the judge =) To think again, everyone's different. >__>

Malaysians writers ought to make one of these books. Instead of 'Kisah Sang Lembu dan Si Kancil' or even 'Akibat Tidak Mendengar Cakap Ibu'. Pheww.. Stereotype much? I'm not at all surprised at all then, looking at the statistics on how many books Malaysian childrens read per year.

Confessions of a Procrastinator

How could anything that seems so simple could be so appealing?

Picture taken from Flickr
I don't know what have I been doing for the past two weeks of holidays. And I'm recuperating from flu.
I'm sad to say that I haven't watched any Jap-Dramas throughout these two weeks, I haven't finished reading 'Eclipse' and ' Breaking Dawn', haven't finished reading 'RADHA', haven't completed the essay that my mum wanted, oh, what else? I haven't been to ANY shopping complexes due to two reasons. One, I'm afraid to drive, a pretty lame excuse. Two, my mum uses the car. Haih..

I just turned nineteen on 14th October. Yaay, Happy Birthday to me. We haven't celebrated it yet coz my parents are working and my siblings are school-ing.
I don't really care for a birthday celebration anyway, a simple but sincere wish from everyone is enough to make my day.

Also, I've been logging in and out of the UIA Asasi website. To check whether the result is out or not. Nope. And thus, another week filled with agony. I wanted to get over it QUICKLY.

I am a big time procrastinator. I accidentally left my camera at college. Or like, seriously? Did I dropped it off somewhere? NO!!!! How stupid of me. My electone is yet to be repaired. It's sad coz I only remembered how to play 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' on my cousin Liyana's keyboard. LAME-OH.

I hate myself for eagerly starting something and later forget all about it in another few days.I must change this behaviour  fast before it gets worse.

Till then, toodles.

Merdeka! Well, sort of..

Don't ask me bout the final exams. :)
Worrying and agonizing a bit about the upcoming results but eh..that could wait until later. :D
Why do I keep on putting smileys at the end of each sentence? XD

I have three fictions waiting to be read.
And countless of J-Dramas and movies that have yet to be watched.
Believe it or not, I'm starting to get addicted to 'Nur Kasih'. Yeah, a MALAY DRAMA! Awesome and unbelievable, right??? :D

I thought that I could study easily and peacefully without the laptop by my side. But no, I just realised it. I need HIM by my side 24/7. Yes, seriously.

Okay, that's all. Bye-bye.
