I argued about how the predictable the plot is, and how it doesn't offer a unique storyline. It took me quite some time to finally find the answers to these questions: "What's wrong with the movie?", "Why do I feel kind of 'disconnected' to it?", "Everyone else said that the movie is great! What's wrong with me?"
Suddenly, the truth dawned upon me.
And I have a confession to make:
Suddenly, the truth dawned upon me.
And I have a confession to make:
Of course it is predictable! I had read the whole synopsis on Wikipedia and watched all the trailers before I even watched the movie itself! *facepalm*
After reassessing the whole story based on my own memory of the scenes and dialogues in the movie, I gotta admit that 'Big Hero 6' is a great movie, and that I spoiled my own expectations of the movie by reading the spoilers, sadly.
The fact that I had read the synopsis, watched the trailers and that they kind of affected me emotionally is good enough reason to say that Big Hero 6 is a great movie!
And then to actually walk in to the cinema with prior knowledge of everything about it and yet expecting more, now that is just too much isn't it? What do you expect? A totally new storyline?
I read the spoilers out of immense curiosity, lol sorry about that. But see? It shows that I had all along decided that the movie is great even before I watched it. XD
I hereby pledge that I will never read spoilers again.
