Whoa, I can't believe it! In about 2 months, the whole of IIUM students would be returning to our beloved holy land of UIA. Haha.
What's more, one year has passed, so quickly and we're now going to be in our 2nd year!
2 more years of study to become a legal drug dealer! Muahaha
So far, life in IIUM Kuantan had been fulfilling, I guess.
My studies are going on OK (at least according to me, my parents and JPA, LOL) and I had fun attending the classes, doing lab practicals, sitting for quizzes and exams (NOT!)
Really, what did I actually do throughout this one year in IIUM?
My life started in the morning, where I'll get ready for class. Then class from 8 a.m till 10.00 a.m. Break for half an hour till 10.30 a.m. 10.30 a.m till 12.30 p.m Then break until 2.00 p.m, where afternoon class will usually started.
My batch, which is called Rx9 are the best. Rx stands for recipe/prescription. LOL. Consisting of 100 students, we differ in personalities and that's what make our lives interesting. :P
Our class was in the Auditorium of the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy. Lecturers will stand on the stage, using the portable microphone to deliver their lectures, while some of us are actually listening intently, some of us trying our best not to sleep, haha.
We hate it whenever any lecturer extends his lecture time, stealing a few 10 minutes of our break. And during the 30 minutes break, some students from Rx9 made their own businesses of selling fried chicken nuggets and sausages, breads, sandwiches, drinks, keropok, etc.
And so, using the empty seats at the back/top area of the auditorium, also using the stairs leading to the front of the auditorium, we would be sitting on those spots, gossipping, talking, laughing, using laptops to access the sites on the internet, while happily munching our nuggets and sausages.
Our classroom is at the end of the kulliyyah, thus secluded from the lecture halls of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year which means we rarely socialize with the seniors, LOL. We are in our own world.
Sometimes on Friday afternoon, while waiting for the UNGS class to start at 2.30/3.00 p.m, the sisters would sit in the auditorium (the brothers went to the mosque to perfomr Friday prayer) and switched off the lights of the auditorium, plugging in the pendrive to the desktop and watch the movies on the big screen on the stage. We would sit comfortably on the oh-so-comfy chairs of the auditorium. Just like a real cinema, with the awesome sound system and all.
The lecturers are nice. But they could be sarcastic at times, especially when you arrived late to class and when you didn't do some background readings before the lectures. And yes, some of them like to call out names. The one responsible to hold the name list/attendance sheet a.k.a the class rep (yours truly) would reluctantly go to the front to give the lecturer the name list. Some didn't really mind if we sleep during the lectures. Some got angry if the students carried out some lectures of their owns at the back.
Sometimes I'll take the bus to Kulliyyah. Sometimes I'll just walk. All of us live it when there is no afternoon class. Which means some of us would take afternoon naps (LOL), some studious ones will take the ample time to revise and study.
We bought our food from the cafeteria at Talhah.
