Sure, it hurts...

Sure, it hurts when somebody undermines you.
It really hurts when somebody hurts the feelings of people that you love.
It hurts when you are being underestimated.
It really hurts when they think you are not as good as them.
It hurts when that somebody is someone who is related to you.
It hurts when somebody looks down on you and the people that you love.

But it doesn't matter, because no matter what, Allah never 'looks down' on you.
Although He is the most superior, He never 'looks down' on His servants.
We too, should never look down on others, regardless of who they are.
For being vain and arrogant are the traits of Satan.

"What prevented you (O Iblîs) that you did not prostrate, when I commanded you?" Iblîs said: "I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay."
"(O Iblîs) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. Get out, for you are of those humiliated and disgraced." (Surah al A'raf Verse 12-13)

"O mankind! Eat that which is lawful and wholesome in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you" (al-Baqara 168).

Everything is from Him and He has power over everything.

The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time the light (Helps) them, they walk therein, and when the darkness grows on them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could take away their faculty of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things.
(Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 20)

For He believes in our capabilities, He believes in our strengths to overcome the obstacles He had planned.
and we should always believe in Allah.
Have firm faith in Him.

“To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.” (Surah Al Baqarah  Verse 156)

Forgive and forget?

“Hold to forgiveness, command what is right, and turn away from the ignorant.” ( 7: 199)

By that I shall forgive you and everybody else. :)

"It is in forgiving that we are forgiven,"
-Yasmin Ahmad (Muallaf)
