Imagine this, Pudu Prison Hotel

I'm a bit upset when the government decided to tear down the historical Pudu Prison, so that the land can be developed into a place that houses those new swanky hotels, apartments. Blah blah blah. Like Malaysian doesn't have enough shopping malls and apartments already. *rolled eyes*.

 Pudu Prison

"The government has studied the matter and decided that the site is not a heritage site and will not be made a heritage site," Deputy Finance Minister Awang Adek told lawmakers.
"The government is of the opinion that it is not something we can be proud of, there may be many (other) things we can be proud of compared with a jail," Awang added.

(Malaysian Mirror, 2010)

Yeah, right. Whatever. Many other things that we can be proud of? Example? Shopping Malls? Now why don't you guys demolish all those abandoned apartments? *rolled eyes again*

There are many shopping malls in Malaysia but we only have ONE! I repeat again, ONE! SATU Pudu Prison. Once it is being torn down, there will be no other buildings that can replace Pudu Prison.

They have this narrow materialistic thinking that more tourists would come to Malaysia to SHOP. As if! If I were to go to other countries, I couldn't care less about shopping! I would like to see something original. I would want to explore the country's culture and heritage.

Seriously, those Malaysians should think out of the box. Check this out. Alcatraz Prison turned Alcatraz Hotel.

The room is nicer than my hostel room. -_____-
Receptionist

See, it is  10 times WAYYY scarier than Pudu Prison as it is located on an island, UNLIKE Pudu Prison which is located in the heart of busy bustling city.

What's more, there are LRT stations and LOTS of shopping complexes around Pudu Prison. Do we need MORE?

I'm not saying that Pudu Prison should be converted into a hotel. I'm terrified of the idea of staying in one of the prison cell myself. But, any other ideas, anyone? Museum? Pudu Prison Museum? Pudu Prison Disneyland (or whatever). Anything.

Sad, right? Like Julia said, "The developers have a close-minded view on what development is," They are only thinking about gaining more profits without taking the sentimental and historical values of that certain things into consideration. In this case, it's the Pudu Prison.
There are many other buildings in Malaysia that are torn down to give place to guess what? SHOPPING MALLS! Ughh.

E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E !!!!

Here is the list of books that we're gonna use throughout the FIRST SEMESTER in UIA Kuantan. For Pharmacy students.

I don't know the exact prices but here are the prices that I got from the internet. It might cost MORE than that!

Principles of Anatomy & Physiology 11th ed.,Gerard. J. Tortora Price: RM 237.03
can also use Guyton's  Textbook of Medical Physiology.

Pharmaceutical Practice Winfield and Richards RM 177
Organic Chemistry can use any books from any authors. They are all the same. Maybe it costs less than RM100.

And as for the other books, can just borrow from library and photostat some pages-ceh, you know yourself la right.
Senior said that the lecturer might give us her/his notes, but someone had to do the job of distributing the notes or whatsoever (class rep). More like, Pharmacy Year 1 Representative.
The total of 100+ Pharmacy students will be crammed together in one big lecture hall.

Two books costed about RM400+ (expensive, right?, I could buy 10 fictions with this money, each of them costing RM30+). To think again, if you didn't study, then the money you spent for these books would be wasted.

You see, we're not going to get the books we ordered until after the mid semester. So we can just buy the books at bookstores, though the prices are a bit higher.

Oh, never mind. I'll just buy Organic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Practice. The rest, I'll just borrow them from my senior, who is actually the same age as us. LOL.

I'm supposed to be 'bersuka ria' right now. Why am I thinking about this? :P

Whoa, I can't believe that I'll be referring to the same list again after TWO YEARS!

Whaddaheck, it's 23rd of June already??!!!

It means that there is LESS THAN A WEEK before the registration day! Which is on 6th of JUly 2010! *don't stalk me, anyone. I'm not worth stalking. XD*

I haven't prepared anything. I haven't even paid the university fee.Hehehe.
I haven't even packed. I haven't even gone shopping for necessary stuffs (toiletries, etc). But I did make a list of what should be done. Eh, where's the list again? *searching*

And being the lazybum I've always known for, I didn't finish the organic chem book. HAHAHA. Which is pretty predictable from the start. Those formulae and steps bored me. Haih, tak boleh bosan bosan! What's going to happen to you in main camp?
I'll study okay. I'll only study when I need to.

Let's see. I haven't even sent the JPA 9A's above things with the academic transcript and whatsoever. Procrastinator, I am.

Several people asked me 'Dah start packing ke belum? Apa yang nak bawak?' then I said ' Er, belum start lagi. Masih bersuka ria!' XD

The list of stuffs that should be done

Pay RM 310 to Bank Muamalat
Photocopied I.C, parents' I.C, academic transcript.
Toiletries and other stuffs
Passport size photos.
Stationery
Send the 9A's JPA thing. Though a bit late already, hahaha.
Iron (my bro took mine)
Oh yeah. I need more tudung and socks. And arm socks (whoa, Sarah!).
MY COMPUTER CABLE!!!

Mug+spoon+fork+plate+bowl (already available)

That's all, I guess. Anyone wanted to add anything?

Stuffs that make me cry

I might be sarcastic but I'm quite sentimental, to tell the truth. I cried easily. Yes, I do. But that doesn't make me weak. I get stronger and more inspired after I cried. Maybe I really am grateful to be born as a girl. You know, the stereotype about 'it's normal for girls to cry' but for guys to do that, they will be labeled as a wimpy or a weakling. Not fair, right? To tell the truth, I don't really trust guys who cried easily. My friends had experience with those kind of guys. Oh, I'm not a wimp either. I only cried during the time when I'm really emotionally moved. Kalau jatuh basikal, luka, kena injections, cabut gigi semua tu saya BELUM PERNAH MENANGIS, okay.

Bear in mind, my definition of crying is 'Big fat tears rolling down my cheeks'. That's it. No more than that. No noise or what. Silent crying. Sometimes I was crying in front of the TV, with the rest of my family members watching the same thing but they NEVER realised that I cried. Yaay me! Haha.

Okay, moving on to the list of stuffs that make me cry.

GANDHI (1982)

Yeah, Gandhi. The 1982 film by Richard Attenborough. The one that won 8 awards from the Academy Awards. LOL.
Seriously, I don't know why I cried. Maybe it's because Ben Kingsley did a great job in portraying Mahatma Gandhi. The film started with Gandhi being shot by a er..terrorist, and it flashed back to 20 (I guess) years ago. The movie chronicled the journey of Gandhi when he was still as student until his death.

I got really touched at this part: The riots between Pakistani and Indians. Some Indians killed some Pakistanis. An Indian guy confessed to Gandhi that he had mercilessly banged the head of a Muslim Pakistani's boy onto the wall and the boy died. Then Gandhi said 'Adopt a Muslim boy orphan, around the same age as the boy that you had killed, raised him up according to the teachings of Islam,' The guy is a Hindu, BTW. Eh, well, the dialogue goes something like that.

I cried and cried and cried when Gandhi got killed. Okay, almost cried when I'm typing this.

UP (2009)

The movie 'Up'. I only cried in the beginning of the movie. See? Awal-awal pun dah menangis. I'm really touched with the never ending love Carl has towards Ellie, his childhood sweetheart+wife, even after she had died. Oh, but the rest of the movie is BORING, to tell the truth.

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

Yup, just read this book. I chose this cover because I know some of you despise Miley Cyrus. HAHAHA.
In the beginning, it was OK. Then later on, without me realising it, I was crying and crying and crying non stop. Okay, tipu. Menangis biasa je. Big fat tears rolled down my cheek. The usual silent cry.The other Nicholas Sparks' novel that I've read is 'The Walk to Remember'. After that, I can't bear to read any other Nick Sparks' novel. Takut menangis. LOL.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I almost cried watching this. Okay, I lied. I didn't cry. I'm just moved. Touched. When Sirius Black died. And when Harry flashed back to the time when he first entered Hogwarts together with Ron and Hermione, with the snippets of the early Harry Potter movies included, made me realised, Oh, how long has it been? I was eleven when I watched the first Harry Potter movie. So were they (Emma Watson). It seems like we, the audience are growing together with the casts of Harry Potter.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling

Okay, I didn't cry. But almost cry. When whatsthatguy's name, oh yeah. Colin Creevey and (sadly, GEORGE WEASLEY) got killed during the battle. And LUPIN! AND TONKS! Okay, I'm gonna cry now. And SNAPE! OMG, SNAPE! I'm ready to cry now. And the time when somebody (I forgot who) spat on McGonagall's face and Harry was so furious. Okay, forgot. The touching part when most of the characters from the early books returned to fight with Harry, against Voldemort and cronies. Oliver Wood (my favourite character!), Cho Chang (err, yeah. whatever). And then, here comes the MOST MOVING PART.

NINETEEN YEARS LATER. When we know that Harry is married to Ginny, had sons. When Harry looked into his son's Albus' eyes, saying that 'you are named after two Hogwarts headmasters, and one of them is the bravest person I've ever known. So it doesn't matter whether you're in Slytherin, bla bla, eh, I'm surprised I even remember this line XD'.
It's like, Harry Potter is now over! We couldn't believe it ourselves! We practically grow up together with Harry and the gang. As soon as I finished reading the book, I looked at the back of the book, with J.K. Rowling's picture on it, and I said 'YOU ARE A GREAT AUTHOR!'

Germany Vs Italy FIFA World Cup 2006 semi-final.
And this one. The epic goals from the epic semifinal match between Germany and Italy in World Cup 2006. Among all these list of stuffs that make me cry, this is the one that makes me really cry uncontrollably. HAHAHA.
Nobuta wo Produce

Nobuta wo Produce. The greatest Japanese drama I've ever watched. Please excuse the sissy guy on your left. XD. I cried watching the endings and some parts of the drama. The music score is EXCELLENT! Enough said. Nak tau, tengok sendiri. Highly recommended. This drama focuses more on friendship rather than lovey dovey stuffs.

Autumn in My Heart.

Okay, no need to elaborate more on this. I've been crying since the first episode. Lepas episode yg Won Bin dapat tau yang Eun Suh ada leukemia, call Farahin, menangis. Lepas tu Farahin pun kata dia menangis.LOL Sarah.

Delightful Girl Choon Hyang

Delightful Girl Chun Hyang. Sesetengah episod je yang 'tertouched'. Waktu tu nak dekat final exam tapi saya, Soul, Syidah, makan take-away ZC Cafe's spaghetti makan dalam bilik saya. Tiga orang kongsi satu meja. Depan tu ada laptop. Tengok cerita ni. Part yang sedih sampai nak menangis tu, saya ketawa nak cover air mata yang mengalir. Entah apa-apa.Nak dekat exam tu. Okay, but three of us got Dean's List (tak payah mention pun takpe XD). Jangan tiru perkara ini di hostel.

Gokusen

Gokusen 1. Eh, ada Matsumoto Jun. Eh, ada Oguri Shun! Eh, ada that guy yang jadi head dorm 1 dalam Hana Kimi! Watch the last episode and you're guaranteed to cry upon witnessing the sincerity of a teacher who wanted her students to be good people in the future. Academic doesn't really matters.

Oprah

My favourite talkshow.

Raihan-I'tiraf
I cried when I heard this nasyid song. I'tiraf by Raihan. Betapa banyaknya dosa yang dilakukan. Tapi Allah tetap sayang. :((

Ibu Mertuaku-P.Ramlee
This song and the other one 'Jeritan Batinku'. Sedih. But Kassim Selamat is kinda stupid, to tell the truth.

Stairways to Heaven

Stairways to Heaven. The song is heavenly heaven. Okay, merepek. I didn't cry, to tell the truth. In fact, I tried forcing myself to cry but I couldn't cry. What happened to me? But Syidah cried. Sometimes, she would take off her spectacles to shed the tears that flow from her eyes. XD. And yes, Mariam cried too. And Kwon Sang Woo is hot! And oh, the girl who played the young Han JungSuh  is the same actress who played 'Go Mi Nam' in 'You're Beautiful'. She was thirteen in this drama.

And, lots more actually. Of which I didn't really cry, but touched, moved, inspired. Don't ask about personal stuffs. :P

I want to tag, can or not? TAGGING:

An Email from my Uncle

I've been thinking about my late grandma lately and I thought I'd share an email I received from my uncle a few days after she left us all. It's quite a beautiful letter (email), the ways he described his mother (my late grandma), and it teaches me to value the people around me, cherishing every moment spent with them. I should have posted this on the last 'Mother's Day'. Never mind. Everyday is a mother's day, am I right? :D They should be appreciated, remembered and treasured every single day, every hour, every minute, every second, every moment. .

My Dearest Sarah,

thanks for your email, it did cheer me up. :)

You know, i have always told my friends that my mother is so special because she may not understand anything but she understands everything.
They find this amusing..

See, Nek Wan might not be well-educated and she didn't understand a lot of things around her- how to operate the cable, how to use the mobile, even how to tune the radio.
She came to Singapore with Tok Wan only with her courage and determination. But miraculously with Allah's guidance, she was able to raise 6 children in the most unfamiliar environment, and by God, she raised each and everyone of her children well, with good education - duniawi and ukhrawi. This, despite all the odds- a feat not many women can take on these days.

I thought about it and i concluded that your arwah Nek Wan was so special. She had the gift of understanding her children and giving them the tools they need most for the soul. She might not be able to help us with our algebra homework or English assignment, but she was able to give us the determination, persistence and courage to live life to the fullest. She equipped us with lessons you will never be able to find in the classroom. She had the incomparable ability to adept to circumstances and make the best out of the situation. She didn't let anything or anyone bring her or her family down with her weaknesses, rather she mustered every strand of strength she had in her to trudge on. Until today, when i feel weak and troubled, i think of what Nek Wan would do if she is caught in the same situation and from there, i always find strength.

When I was down and felt that the whole world was against me, I just needed to go back home to her. She was able to discern every sorrow in me, even without me telling her, and she never failed to heal every single one of my wounds.
At night, she would sit and watch all the English programmes on TV with me even though she couldn't understand a word! But at the corner of my eye, I always caught her not watching the TV but rather looking at me, and i could feel the warmth of her smile and every word of the doa she sent to Allah for me.
Every day when i went to work, she would sit at the sofa and bid me farewell, and her sight never left me until i turn the corner at the staircase. I knew she was praying for me and my safety. I knew she was aware, the day will come she will not be able to see me off work anymore and prayed Allah will still be with me for always...

I miss Nek Wan so so much, and i pray i will be able to see he again soon. You are right, she would most likely want me to keep praying for her, and stop mourning, and one day InsyaAllah, we will see Nek Wan and Tok Wan again. Till then i just wish i have half her strength to go through the rest of my life without her. Even to the day she passed on, your Nek Wan was one strong lady.

I've never felt so loved and cared for, and i guess that's the magic that mothers have. You still have yours. Cherish every single moment you have with your parents ok, and make every moment matter. Always remind Mak and Abah how much you love and appreciate them.

Keep in touch, all the best for your results and may Allah be with you always.
Whenever you remember Nek Wan, sedekah Fatehah ok?

Lots of Love,
Busu
May Allah bless her soul. Al-Fatihah.

do u skate?

Yup. I can roller-skate. I can ice-skate. Skateboarding je yang tak try lagi, LOL.

Germany Vs Ghana

Eh, ceh! Terlebih awal pulak buat post pasal ni. LOL.

So, after an embarrassing defeat of 0-1 against SERBIA, will Germany be able to beat Ghana in the upcoming match on the 23rd of June?
We'll see!
Ghana's a pretty strong team. Tall, burly, muscular. And they are really fast!

So like, let me get this straight. Germany won against Australia but lost against Serbia and Ghana won against Serbia but had a draw against Australia?

Those matches are UNPREDICTABLE! We don't even know who's the strongest team in Group D yet!

Unless of course, Ghana wins third time consecutively against Germany or Germany wins against Ghana. Then only we'll know.

Klose will not be playing in the upcoming match NO THANKS to the referee who has the 'red and yellow cards' fetish.

Please oh please let Germany won! I've been waiting for the glorious moment for FOUR YEARS already. If only Germany wins the Cup this time, I wouldn't bother watching the next World Cup anymore.

And again, I couldn't even watch the match LIVE of which suddenly 'I don't care'. TV1 will only air the replay of the match. I'll only watch if Germany won the match. XD

This post is boring, isn't it? Haha, never mind. I'm quite sleepy anyway. Don't know what else to write about. Good night everyone! I'm ready to doze off! ZZZZZzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzz

World Cup Woes

So here's the thing. My dad is not subscribing to the Astro Supersports Channels (ESPN, Star Sports, World Cup stuffs, you name it) which is really depressing (I'm exaggerating, of course) as I have to fully rely on the SELECTED matched aired by RTM TV1. Yes! TV1. And of course, I am grateful enough to be able to watch the epic 'Germany Vs Australia' match last Monday on TV1. And I'm looking forward to watch more matches that involve Germany, the team that I supported since 2006.

And so, I got to look at the Match schedules on RTM- TV1 and TV2. I gotta watch MORE football matches!  I only watch Germany because I couldn't afford to stay up EVERY single nights just to watch football matches that feature countries like Slovenia against Algeria or something.

And after I looked at the complete schedule (click here), I am DEVASTATED!
As you can see. TV1 WILL NOT AIR the upcoming match of Germany Vs Serbia! NOOOOO!!!!!!

First Round Group D

Germany Vs Serbia 18/6/10 (Fri) 7.30 p.m

To be truthful, I'm not that worried about this match. I'm 99% sure that Germany will win it.

Okay, masih boleh bertahan. What about the next match, Germany Vs Ghana?

Germany Vs Ghana 24/6/10 (Thu) 2.30 a.m

(you can see that I'd have to wait for another SIX days to watch another Germany match)

The Live Match's supposed to be at 2.30 a.m BUT THEN....

RTM decided to air it at 4.30 a.m -______-. Siaran tertunda. Hoho. Never mind. I'll pretend not to know anything and just watch the match as if it really is a Live Match. No one shall tell me ANYTHING! This is a warning! *buat muka serious*

Round 16.
Let's say Germany wins the First Round. So, the next match should be on the

Winner Group D Vs Second Group C 27/6/10 (Sun) 10.00 p.m

Ceh, tertunda lagi! RTM decided to air it at 12.00-2.00 a.m! I shall refrain myself from looking at any updates regarding the match.

Quarter Final
There will be FOUR MATCHES. Two of them are LIVE screenings while the other two 'siaran tertunda'.
Again, if the match that features Germany is in 'Siaran Tertunda', I shall pretend again that I watch it LIVE.

Semi Final
As for the semi final (let's hope Germany will reach this stage and let's hope that the last minute tragedy that happened to them in World Cup 2006 will not be repeated again. Don't be complacent!) there will be two matches. And two of them will be screened LIVE on RTM TV1.

7/7/10 (Wed) 2.30 p.m  LIVE SCREENING
8/7/10 (Thurs) 2.30 a.m LIVE SCREENING

Oh yes, that reminds me. I'll be registering in Kuantan at 6/7/10. So I couldn't really watch any of these two matches. Taaruf programme la! Let's hope that the match that features Germany will be aired on 8/7/10 (Thurs), 2.30 a.m. I hope I can watch it.

Third Place
I SO WANT GERMANY TO BE IN FINALS! But still, anything can happen.

11/7/10 (Sun) 2.30 a.m LIVE SCREENING

Finals!
12/7/10 (Mon) 10.00 p.m LIVE SCREENING

But oh dear, the lecture will start on Monday (of which I hope not). And the final match will be on that particular night!
My mum said I can watch it.Once in four years, right? Still remember the exact words Farahin told me 4 years ago ' Ala, tengokla. Once in four years tau. Lepas ni Ballack and Klose dah tua dah,'. Okay, then I tengok. Tengok-tengok KALAH dengan Italy. Bagus betul. -_____-

Looking back at all these schedules, ceh, macam confident je Germany ada dalam semua ni. Termasuk Quarter finals, Semi Finals and so on. Well, let's hope so.

People might wonder where did I get this 'football addiction' from. And what first initiated me to start watching and loving football. Well, it happened four years ago, when I was sixteen. NEXT POST! (Nanti-nanti kalau rajin :P )

NOTE: Perempuan memang sentiasa over bila tengok bola ataupun cerita Jepun.:P

'Taken' makes parents and teens paranoid.

So, have you watched the movie 'Taken'? I know, I'm so outdated. It's a 2008 movie and I only get to watch it this year, in 2010. But hey, it's a MUST WATCH movie. For parents, teenagers. In fact, parents and their teenage children should watch it together just like what my family did. Then parents could brainwash their children not to go out without permission, or with a friend. Seriously, I got paranoid. The movie is like..a life scenario of what's happening in real life. And so my mum went

'Tu, tengok. Tu sebab kena ikut cakap mak and abah,' my mom pointed out upon watching the gedik girl got kidnapped. And banyak lagi dia cakap, heheh. I just nodded my head.

It's about a 'gedik', bimbotic teenage girl who insisted on going to Paris together with her friend. Then they ended up getting kidnapped by the 'bapa ayam' or whosoever and be made/sold into prostitutes. So the dad had to rescue her.

But then, seriously. The mother in that movie is so stupid. She lets her underage teenage daughter (sixteen, I guess) to travel with a friend who's only seventeen to FRANCE. To another country! And when her ex-husband (Liam Neeson) disagree with that, saying 'You don't know the world as well as I do' as he's a preventer/spy of some sort, she went on scolding/chastising him for not being able to understand his daughter's feelings.Stupid, right? Then when she knows that her daughter got kidnapped she went on crying and begged Liam Neeson to bring her daughter back to her. .

Okay, tengok sendiri.

Call my mum overprotective or what but I am grateful that she is very protective of me and my sister. It shows that she is really concerned with our safety and well-beings. For instance, whenever I planned to go out with my friends in UIA, it is COMPULSORY for me to call her and tell her where we will be going. I will feel really guilty if I didn't tell her this. Call me 'anak emak' or what. But I have to ask for her permission whenever I wanted to go out with my friends. I don't mind that. Though I'm reaching 20 this year. Haha.
And sometimes, she didn't permit me to go out. Okay then. I'll just stay in UIA. I don't mind seriously. I trust my mother's instincts. My dad too. If we're going to the bus station by taxi at night (the bus usually arrives at 12 midnight), he asked me to text-message him the taxi's plate number.I jokingly said that I will capture a picture of the taxi driver and send MMS to him by phone. And he said 'Eh, not a bad idea!'. LOL

One day I asked my mum's permission to go for jungle tracking. Then she said 'cannot'. Okay, I also don't want to go. It turned out that every single friends of mine were bitten by at least one leech when they were there. A friend got a total of 10 leeches. Eeww. I might be an adventurous person. I went to jungle tracking, camping at the foothill of Gunung Jerai, etc but I HATE leeches. I don't want to get bitten by any of them. Full stop. Nasib baik ikut cakap emak.

I have plans to go backpacking around the world one day. But I doubt my mum would let me do that. It's so hard being a girl, right? But then, I reckon my mum wouldn't even let any of my brothers to do that. I guess. Once, my mum didn't let my bro go camping. And it turns out that ALL of his friends who went camping contracted flu when they came back from camping.
Never mind then. After all, mum knows best and I firmly believe in that.

Is this really me, talking about love?

Yes, I am in love. Not with anyone but with a movie I've just watched. Of which this action is not necessarily to be called love, it's more like an infatuation and obsession. But the word love sounds so pure and honest, so I'm gonna use this word.
In case you've been wondering what movie am I talking about, it's a movie about fairy tale, glass slippers, peasant/servant-turned princess, evil stepmother and stepsister, the Prince. Most of all, it's about love. You guess.

When I was eleven, I entered a public speaking competition in my school, with the topic 'Love' of which I managed to scrape a mere second place. I didn't really know the meaning love back then and I still don't know the meaning of it now as I've never experienced it myself. There are many definitions of love but what I'm going to talk about is a totally different kind of love. What's got into me? I'm in a love mode. Blame the movie. My eyes were transfixed to the TV screen that I hardly blinked. I swooned when the prince said he'll always love her no matter whether she's a countess or a mere servant girl. I almost cried when Danielle got beaten by her evil stepmother. I cheered to the happy ending. I don't care what people think of me. I really take the movies I watched seriously, no kidding. I'm a sentimental kind of person.

Is this really me, falling in love? With a movie? More like with a crappy non-existent fairy tale? Told you, there are different kinds of love. And I keep on smiling all of a sudden, I even smile right now, thinking of Danielle and Henry, living happily ever after. Is this even normal? Do tell whether you've experienced such thing. Maybe it's the hormone. Yes, it is the hormone.

I want my own fairy tale. I want my own happy ending. I want to have a love story that is something you read from the books or watch from the movies and dramas of which most of them are completely unrealistic.

I am 100% sure that ALL girls, girls from all walks of life would want their own fairy tale. Even a girl who is currently living in such undesirable environment would dream for a prince to rescue her and bring her out from all these misfortunes. Even those who are already married would want their own desired fairy tale kind of love story.

But unfortunately, no matter how much we believed of these fairy tales, these happy endings, there will be no way that our own story will be the same as we expected to be. Fairy tales are created by those who longed for a happy ever after life. Those who wanted to escape from their own marriage woes. I expect guys will snigger upon reading this. Oh, guys. What do they know? Forever condemning women for falling head over heels with Japanese or Korean actors, making fun of our infatuations. Yes, a mere infatuation and admiration. Not love. We are sane and rational enough to differentiate between REAL human beings and pop artists who exist in posters and television screen. If we did say that we like them, it doesn't mean that we would want them as our future spouses. Most of the guys don't really believe in love. Or perhaps, they thought that it is love. But it isn't. I shall elaborate now.

Some of the peoples of my age have already found their..love, is it? Is it love? Or is it a mere obsession and infatuation, quite similar to the one I had for those Japanese and Korean actors? :P How much do you love her? Or him? What makes you love him? His looks? Status? The chemistry and compatibility you shared with each other? Do you wish to have a significant other just for the sake of following 'THE trend'? So what can you do to prove to him to you love him? Devoting your life towards him? How is that? And when you've decided on doing that, don't ever throw the 'product' of your never-dying love into the drain or garbage bin or whatever. Okay, something is wrong with this sentence. I'm sure you get what I mean. XD

Being in love doesn't mean that you have to constantly text-message or call each other 24/7. That's an infatuation. Is love ever an infatuation? Could anyone answer that? If you do love and care for her/him you would certainly RESPECT her privacy.

Being in love doesn't mean that you have to keep on holding hands, dating every week at the mall or even giving each other gifts and presents. Is it really love? Reasonable, right? Giving gifts to someone you love.If you do love and care for her/him you would certainly respect her. Holding hands together, hugging his waist on the motorbike, going out together, just the two of you,  is that love? Respect? Certainly not. And you certainly do not respect her parents and even your religion by simply touching her, the one who is not your mahram. And that is HARAM. Certainly, you do not respect her dignity as a woman.

'Then what definition of love do you have in your mind?' you might ask me that.
Of course, my own definition of love. Simple. Mutual respect towards each other. This sentence might be plain simple, as if there is nothing that you can think out of it. I have lots of points in my mind and I've just given two of them in the paragraphs above but you can think of the rest and elaborate them by yourself. The more points you get, the more you will realise that 'Eh, she's right!' and the more you will ponder 'Is this love or infatuation I'm experiencing right now?'

This is a post specially dedicated to my dear friend.
A message to her 'Do not feel sad when that guy cheated you. That is not love. Do not even regard that as your first heartbroken. Or even, your first love. It was never called love in the first place. If he really loves you, he will respect your feelings, instead of toying with them. There'll come the time when you'll meet someone that really respect you. Love you. Then only you'll call that person as your first, true love,'

To others: Selamat mencuba dan selamat beramal. XD

5 Friends Every Woman Should Have

Taken from oprah.com

"Friends are the family we choose for ourselves," writer Edna Buchanan once said. I consider the "family" I've gathered—with five kinds of pals I count on for completely different things—among the wisest choices I've made. If you can find even one who embodies any of the characteristics that follow, you can consider yourself fortunate.

1. The Uplifter

This woman's favorite word: yes. You could tell her you're trading your six-figure income for a career in offtrack betting, and she'd barely pause before yelping "Go for it!" Don't you need someone who looks past the love handles to notice the extraordinarily gorgeous you?

The friends: Farahin, Mariam, Malizah a.k.a school buddies! The ones whom I speak out my ideas to, the ones who have the same interests and hobbies as I do. The one whom I know since I was nine (Farahin), the ones who have been sitting next to me since form 1 till form 4 (Mariam and Malizah)

2. The Travel Buddy

When the hotel in St. Lucia is a bust, one characteristic becomes all-important: flexibility. This agreeable companion need not be the girl you traded pinkie swears with on the playground; it's enough that she's comfortable with quiet (between gabfests) and is a teensy bit mischievous (as in tequila after midnight).

The friends: Syidah(2-years in CFS roommate @my first ever roommate), Soul (cranky, sometimes-annoying, sarcastic, supportive good friend cum next room neighbour for 2 years), Explorace Teammate(Syidah and Soul included, Suhaila, Afzan). =)

3. The Truth Teller

Intent is what separates the constructive from the abusive. Once you've established that the hard news is spoken in love (not in jealousy or malice), you'd be smart to seek out this woman's perspective.

The friends: JAMIE, childhood schoolmate since nine, one of the trusted people whom I shared secrets with :P, HAZIE who could be quite sarcastic and supportive sometimes (belajar daripada siapa ni hah?), SYIDAH (the closest friend ever in CFS) and SOUL (the one who could be painfully frank and honest sometimes) not forgetting the ever so sweet Farahin =)

4. The Girl Who Just Wants to Have Fun

One Saturday a pal and I—and yes, we're both over age 12—pored over every glitter lip gloss in a drugstore aisle for an entire 45 minutes. Forget the crisis download (for that, see the Uplifter); this partnership is about spontaneous good times.

THE FRIENDS: Hazie (geng kongsi gelap), Syidah(okay, tak payah cakap), Soul (asyik orang sama je, LOL), jiran-jiran yang selalu datang lepak bilik, dan saya lepak pegi bilik diorang, my girl classmates in CFS dari sem 1 first year sampai final sem 2nd year, My CONVENT SCHOOLMATES. :D

5. The Unlikely Friend

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive," Anaïs Nin wrote. My friends—some twice my age, others half, some rich, others homeless, some black like me, others Korean, Mexican, Caucasian—have added richness to my life that only variety can bring.

The friends: Eurasian friends, Chinese friends, Indian friends, Chindians (Chinese plus Indian), Mandians (Malay plus Indian), Chinese+Malay, Thai friends, Arabic+malay, friends from Africa (nama pun duduk UIA, kan), more friends of that sort, online friends, blog friends, twitter friends, facebook friends, (ok why semua online?), friends all over Malaysia, childhood friends, neighbours, friends I meet during debate and other school competitions, friends in the school bus, jiran-jiran bilik sebelah, juniors from school and CFS,  Kakak dekat kiosk ZC. Makcik yang jaga kaunter dekat cafe tu. Okay, gotta go find more friends. :P
